Hurricane Ian caused major damages and caused us to miss school on Sep. 28-Oct. 3. This ended up cancelling games, after school activities, World Heart Day (which is still set to be rescheduled to a later date), FSA retakes, and Picture Day. While most of the devastation happened in Fort Myers, Sarasota, and other southeast cities, the Oak Ridge community experienced their own struggles which will see its own article upcoming.

After deliberating what days we have to make up, the Florida Department of Education determined our makeup days from the hurricane:

• School on Friday, Oct. 28
